Kennedy 1 Year Pictures

Here are some 1 year old pictures of Kennedy. She did not smile in most of them. But we had a laugh trying to get her to smile. She was proabily thinking, you guys are crazy. Things are going really well for Kennedy right now. She is eating her big girl food and drinking whole milk. She loves fruit, mac & cheese and bisquits. She is walking very good, still has the occasional stumble though. We go for a walk everynight in her little tike and we talk about the day we had. She points at all the trees, flowers and kitty cats. She loves going to daddy's LAX games and is his number 1 cheerleader. She points at him on the feild and grunts. Daddy is in the playoffs and is a state contender. Go Hoyas!

KENNEDY TURNS 1!!!!!

Wow. So many new things have been going on since the last post. Kennedy has grown in so many ways. First the big news is.... KK is walking. She started moving pretty well about a month ago. Really just crusin and holding on. Then she wobbled for a couple weeks (couple steps, then fall on her tush) Now she is full out walking. When she falls down, she is back up on those feet. No more crawling. I think she has discovered a whole new world. We are still working on the solid foods. She loves mac & cheese, peas, and anything that mom is eating. She will kill some puffs too.I try and keep those as special treats. She eats her stage 3 foods really well. She has had 6 teeth come in, in the last 3 weeks. 4 on top and 2 more on bottom. So now she has a total of 8 teethies! She can say a couple of cute words. Ma Ma (her favorite :) Da Da, bubbles (from the tubie) boat, and her most used word uuuuggghhh. We go to the doctor tomorrow for her 1 year check up. So I am assuming more shots. Her favorite toys are anything that she can shake and make noise. (she thinks she is hiliarous) She also loves pushing things-anything. She trys to push the trash can around the kitchen. (until mommy catches her and says yukie) She also loves to copy anything you do, make a noise, put on chapstick, pick up laundry. She is such mommys big helper. Last Friday was Kennedy's first birthday-March 25th. I know I can't believe it has been a year. We pretty much celebrated it all weekend. But we did have a party Sunday afternoon. We had sweet treats and ice cream sundae bar. Kennedy got some great presents and some much needed good walking shoes. She had a great time and enjoyed all her friends coming and spending time with her. I posted some pics below. We took 1 year pics that I hope to have posted in the next couple weeks. She didn't really smile in most of them, but that's ok. Enjoy the birthday pics!

Almost 10 Months

Here is a little update on what's been going on with our growing baby girl. Kennedy will be 10 months on Jan 25th. I can't believe it. I want her to stop growing so fast. Kennedy is crawling, well speed crawling. She gets her eye on something and she is gone. She loves to crawl after mommy. If I am in the kitchen Kennedy is right there with me. She loves to help Mommy cook. She is pulling up on everything and we have had several bumped heads and mouths recently. She started crawling up the stairs the other day. So we are looking at investing in some gates. She hasn't started crusing yet. She has pulled up and moved from the coffee table to the couch, but not that many times. Mommy is starting to realize all her pretty accessories are becoming chew toys for KK. I am going to have to start putting things up for a while.

At about 7 months KK started getting ear infections. It seems like she gets them every other week. So our peditrican recommended that we go see an ENT. We have decided to get tubes. Kennedy also has clogged tear ducts also. We noticed when she was born that her eyes were always teary and gookie looking. The doc said that they should open up on there own before 6-9 months. Well they haven't opened. If you notice in some pics, she has tears in her eyes. (That is the tear ducts) So we are having those opened when we get tubes. Both surgery's I have heard are very minor and only last a couple mins. We go to CHOA on Jan 27th for both procedures. I am very nervous of the thought of putting her to sleep. But we have had many friends have the procedures done and they say it is super fast. I am just ready for her not to be feeling bad so often.

We are working on solid foods with Kennedy. She wants nothing to do with it. She eats stage 3 great. But when we add in the chunks she tries to spit it out or doesn't swallow. We are working on the puffs, but every time it goes down her throught she gaggs.I am afraid she is going to go to college on Gerber. I am trying to explain to her that's not an option on the buffett. Who Know's?!? Maybe it will just click one day. I have heard consistency is the key. So we will keep trying.

Kennedy is moving up to the big girl class at school. Both her friends Connor and Brayden have already moved up. So she will be very excited to join them. They love following each other around the room. When I picked up her a couple weeks ago, Connor and Kennedy had both crawled under the bouncy seat and were just there looking at everyone.

So many new thing going and happening so fast. I will try and post more updates soon.

White Christmas

Kennedy saw snow for the first time on Christmas. When we got home on Christmas Day it had started snowing. She giggled when the flakes started hitting her face. And she was trying to swing and bat them away. It was hiliarous! She has been fighting a cold and some ear infections the last couple weeks, so we did not stay out in it long. Then another major storm hit last week. We got almost 8 inches of snow! We watched daddy shovel the driveway from inside the house! Daddy was out of school all week. It was great and relaxing.

Santa Baby!

Okay. So many new things going on in our house. First Christmas was a blast! Lee and I are so blessed to have Kennedy in our lives. The Holidays were that much sweeter because of her this year. She was the best gift of 2010.
We started Christmas Eve at Granny and Poppy's house in Dahloenga. There Kennedy was spoiled by Granny, Poppy, Aunt Amanda, Aunt Gail and Aunt Kathy. We spent the night the day before Christmas eve at granny and poppys did Christmas eve there and then came home. We rushed to Christmas eve service with Ashley, Greg and Hope. Grabbed some dinner and then rushed over to the Sakal's Christmas eve party. We woke up Christmas morning and saw what Santa brought and opened presents. Kennedy got alot of toys that make noise and light up, mickey stuff, and elmo stuff. But I think she would have been just as happy with a box full of tissue paper. Our family room now looks like toys r us exploded in it.Santa was good to Mommy and Daddy too. Mommy got perfume, jewelry, mani & pedi gift certs, and new tennis shoes to keep up her working out. (mommy has lost all her pregnancy weight, plus 20 pounds yeah!) Daddy got new tennis shoes, under armour cloth's for school and a new Yukon. I think Santa spoiled daddy a little more than mommy! I guess he was better than mommy this year. (or at least he thinks)

We went to Shannon's on Christmas day to do Christmas with the Day side of the family. There was about 10 neices and nephews there. So we were about knee high with presents and gift wrap paper. It snowed on Christmas day. It was so cool. It was a wonderful Christmas! I can't wait till next year when Kennedy will really know what it is all about.

Trick or Treat

Okay. So I am a little late updating the Halloween post. We had a great time. Kennedy was going to be a lady bug, but we heard it was going to be cold that night. So we ended up wearing Hope's outfit from last year a Lambie. It turned out to be much warmer than we thought. But she still looked cute. Daddy really got into the night. He was a clown and everyone wanted to honk his squeaky nose. He is so sweet and is the best daddy in the world. Kennedy loved it. Halloween day we made chili in the crock pot and Kennedy and daddy watch Football and Charlie Brown's Halloween special on TV. We were going to visit with Aunt Ashley and Hope, but Ashley was not feeling very well so we stayed in our neighborhood.

A quik update on Kennedy. She has gottten 2 teeth on the bottom. Yeah! Lee and I were getting her ready for bed last week and I said I think I see a tooth. Turned out there was 2. They had just broken through and were razor sharp. We were screaming and jumping up down. She was looking at us like, what are ya'll doing. She is also trying to crawl so bad. She knows she can do it. But can't get that forward movement when she rocks. We are inticing her with toys and the paci. (Not working so far). I am sure she will be mobile by Christmas. Which will be so much fun with the Christmas tree and the lights.

Burt's Pumpkin Patch

We went to Burt's Pumpkin patch a couple weeks ago. Kennedy was fascinated by all the orange things and wanted to know how she could get them all in her mouth. Everything goes in her mouth now. She was adoreable with cousin Hope and had to take it all in. We got 3 pumpkins a mommy pumpkin, daddy pumpkin and a baby pumpkin. They are in our front yard.
Our next post will includeHalloween. KK is being a Lady Bug. Adoreable!
