Almost 10 Months

Here is a little update on what's been going on with our growing baby girl. Kennedy will be 10 months on Jan 25th. I can't believe it. I want her to stop growing so fast. Kennedy is crawling, well speed crawling. She gets her eye on something and she is gone. She loves to crawl after mommy. If I am in the kitchen Kennedy is right there with me. She loves to help Mommy cook. She is pulling up on everything and we have had several bumped heads and mouths recently. She started crawling up the stairs the other day. So we are looking at investing in some gates. She hasn't started crusing yet. She has pulled up and moved from the coffee table to the couch, but not that many times. Mommy is starting to realize all her pretty accessories are becoming chew toys for KK. I am going to have to start putting things up for a while.

At about 7 months KK started getting ear infections. It seems like she gets them every other week. So our peditrican recommended that we go see an ENT. We have decided to get tubes. Kennedy also has clogged tear ducts also. We noticed when she was born that her eyes were always teary and gookie looking. The doc said that they should open up on there own before 6-9 months. Well they haven't opened. If you notice in some pics, she has tears in her eyes. (That is the tear ducts) So we are having those opened when we get tubes. Both surgery's I have heard are very minor and only last a couple mins. We go to CHOA on Jan 27th for both procedures. I am very nervous of the thought of putting her to sleep. But we have had many friends have the procedures done and they say it is super fast. I am just ready for her not to be feeling bad so often.

We are working on solid foods with Kennedy. She wants nothing to do with it. She eats stage 3 great. But when we add in the chunks she tries to spit it out or doesn't swallow. We are working on the puffs, but every time it goes down her throught she gaggs.I am afraid she is going to go to college on Gerber. I am trying to explain to her that's not an option on the buffett. Who Know's?!? Maybe it will just click one day. I have heard consistency is the key. So we will keep trying.

Kennedy is moving up to the big girl class at school. Both her friends Connor and Brayden have already moved up. So she will be very excited to join them. They love following each other around the room. When I picked up her a couple weeks ago, Connor and Kennedy had both crawled under the bouncy seat and were just there looking at everyone.

So many new thing going and happening so fast. I will try and post more updates soon.

White Christmas

Kennedy saw snow for the first time on Christmas. When we got home on Christmas Day it had started snowing. She giggled when the flakes started hitting her face. And she was trying to swing and bat them away. It was hiliarous! She has been fighting a cold and some ear infections the last couple weeks, so we did not stay out in it long. Then another major storm hit last week. We got almost 8 inches of snow! We watched daddy shovel the driveway from inside the house! Daddy was out of school all week. It was great and relaxing.

Santa Baby!

Okay. So many new things going on in our house. First Christmas was a blast! Lee and I are so blessed to have Kennedy in our lives. The Holidays were that much sweeter because of her this year. She was the best gift of 2010.
We started Christmas Eve at Granny and Poppy's house in Dahloenga. There Kennedy was spoiled by Granny, Poppy, Aunt Amanda, Aunt Gail and Aunt Kathy. We spent the night the day before Christmas eve at granny and poppys did Christmas eve there and then came home. We rushed to Christmas eve service with Ashley, Greg and Hope. Grabbed some dinner and then rushed over to the Sakal's Christmas eve party. We woke up Christmas morning and saw what Santa brought and opened presents. Kennedy got alot of toys that make noise and light up, mickey stuff, and elmo stuff. But I think she would have been just as happy with a box full of tissue paper. Our family room now looks like toys r us exploded in it.Santa was good to Mommy and Daddy too. Mommy got perfume, jewelry, mani & pedi gift certs, and new tennis shoes to keep up her working out. (mommy has lost all her pregnancy weight, plus 20 pounds yeah!) Daddy got new tennis shoes, under armour cloth's for school and a new Yukon. I think Santa spoiled daddy a little more than mommy! I guess he was better than mommy this year. (or at least he thinks)

We went to Shannon's on Christmas day to do Christmas with the Day side of the family. There was about 10 neices and nephews there. So we were about knee high with presents and gift wrap paper. It snowed on Christmas day. It was so cool. It was a wonderful Christmas! I can't wait till next year when Kennedy will really know what it is all about.
